Junior Awards

Watertown High School Juniors were selected by the Counseling Department to receive a variety of awards from various colleges, including Elmira College, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Rochester, and Sage Colleges.  Students were selected on the basis of a variety of different criteria including leadership, academic standing, citizenship, and an over-all high level of achievement.  Students were awarded with scholarship money should they choose to attend the university.

2016-2017 Student Schedules

As we conclude this school year, we are excited to release the 2016-2017 schedules.  Tomorrow, June 3rd, we will disperse student schedules for next school year.  These schedules will be visible on the Portal this summer once we have completed this school year.  Due to issues with Infinite Campus, the schedules will not be visible online yet because we cannot activate the new year without deactivating the current school year for the whole district.  As many of you know we will also be switching over to PowerSchool from Infinite Campus in July.  Further information will be sent out this summer on how to access your schedules with this new system.

These schedules will also include a cover letter with important scheduling information.  Eighth grade students will get these schedules at Swift by the end of the school day.  At the high school we will make a call on the intercom at around 1:55 for students to return to Homeroom.  Students should wait until the announcement is made to report.  Seniors should go to their Homeroom as well.  Students will be dismissed from Homeroom at the 2:10 bell.  Students who are absent will be able to get their schedule during homeroom next week.  Please remember:

  • If there is a hole in the schedule or a class that has already been passed please schedule an appointment with your counselor using the appointment slips in the counseling office.
  • For other scheduling questions and concerns, counselors will be available in person or via phone/email from 7:40 am-2:40 pm on June 14th, 15th,and 16th. You will need to schedule an appointment with them for these days. You can also schedule an appointment with your counselor on the days they will be in during the summer.  Those days are posted on our website.  As in previous years schedule changes will not be made for teacher and/or class period preference.

As always thank-you for your continued support of Watertown High School and we look forward to a great end to this school year!
